UGAP is an online platform that gathers all goods from all negociated-markets.
Pros:
Depending on vendors, there is a 10% to 50% discount from catalog prices.
There is no shipping fees.
One single order can contains items from various vendors (for instance, from Fisher, Dutscher, Biorad, etc). It means Malika needs to pass only one order instead of several. Be careful, it also means the order will be dispatched separately and will arrive in multiple shipments: please keep track of all purchase slips (and don't forget to sign them and give them to Malika).
It is very easy to export a quote (I remind you a quote is required for all orders, regardless of the supplier).
The quote includes NACRES codes.
Cons:
There is no chemicals (no Sigma, and very few chemicals from Fisher and Dutscher)
Very few computer stuff.
No electronics (no Radiospare/Farnell).
How to get a quote?
Login with lab credentials (available from the lab intranet).
Fill the cart as on any other online shop.
Click on “Panier”.
Careful: The quote that you export at this stake does not contain important info for billing/shipping.
Click on “Commander”, select LJP as shipping address, then once again click on “Commander”.
On the next page you could type a “Référence interne” and check a box : Do not do anything here!
Simply click on “Sauvegarder mon devis”, then “Imprimer mon devis”.
Print as PDF.
Notes:
Prices are available only after you log in.
On each item page, you can find useful information: which vendor sells this item (i.e. which vendor obtained the market), as well as the expiration date for that market.
There are tons of things on UGAP, from bikes to cooking pans to pipettes. The search engine is quite bad. It is often easier to identify what you want to purchase from vendors websites (Dutscher for instance), find the reference number, and paste it in UGAP search engine.
UGAP website stores previous carts and quotes. It is possible to transfer previous quotes to current carts and starts from there.
A list of usual purchases (mostly plastics, mostly from UGAP) is maintained here : ici. Please update it so next purchases will be easier.
Order tracking is well done: it gives expected (and updated) delivery dates.
Careful, the regular prices must be used. Not the prices for “online ordering”.
