Online Bibliography

It is possible to store your bibliography on the university cloud and synchronize it with your bibliography management software via the WebDAV protocol. This section covers only Zotero and DropSU. This is particularly advantageous since Zotero's free cloud storage only offers 300MB, while the university provides 100GB via DropSU.

Zotero and DropSU

Log in to DropSU and:

  • Create a folder named zotero in the root directory of your DropSU installation.
  • Go to File Settings (bottom left), then WebDAV and copy the URL provided.

Next, go to Zotero (this is for version 8.0.3, it may differ on other versions):

  • Edit > Settings > Synchronization
  • Check Synchronize attachments from my library using and select WebDAV
  • Enter the URL you previously copied from DropSU
  • Enter your DropSU username (e.g., candelierr)
  • Enter your DropSU password
  • Click Test connection to server.
  • If everything works correctly, initiate a synchronization. If the synchronization is successful, .zip and .prop files will appear in the Zotero directory of DropSU.
