For any questions about waste management

Please consult: https://guideetudiant.sorbonne-universite.fr/vie-de-campus/faq-gestion-des-dechets

You can contact:

Bulky waste

If you want something bulky to get removed (like a big pile of cardboard and styrofoam after you received an equipment), contact our “chef de secteur”: sciences-dlm-chefs-de-secteur@admp6.jussieu.fr
Always add your phone number and the name of the lab.

The email to ask for removal of computers/furniture, etc. :

- sandra.silva_goncalves@sorbonne-universite.fr

or

- maria.sampaio@sorbonne-universite.fr

or

Electronic waste

To get rid of electonic/electric waste (computers, screens, power supplies, etc), there is the “déchetterie” of the campus (waste center), near the entrance Quai St-Bernard (on the right when you exit the campus). The facility is often closed, so you need to get in touch with the staff to arrange a disposal: Call Guillaume Baloup 01 44 27 70 53.

Recycling

Cardboard boxes need to be flattened out being taken away by the cleaning person.

In case of a big volume, please be kind to her and instead contact “service technique” for removal: sciences.DLM-chefs-de-site@sorbonne-universite.fr

Paper disposal (needs to be updated!):

The cleaning person does not take away our paper/recyclable trash. We have to do it ourselves. There are a small box for paper trash near the printer on the 5th floor, and a bigger box in the cafeteria.

There is a paper/cardboard trashbin in the basement of tower 32.

No-contamination form

When you ask for stuff to be disposed, the “chef de site” may require a form that confirms the item is not contaminated. You can find this form here: formulaire.
